Elote Three Ways - Street Food



Ingredients: 


5-6 ears of corn,  grilled and served with each of these various toppings. 


New Mexican Style: 


1 tsp NM red chile powder

1 tsp NM green chile powder

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp butter


Mexican Style: 


¼ cup mayonnaise

The juice of 1/2 a lime

1 tsp chile lime powder (I used Trader Joe’s brand)

¼ cup chopped cilantro

Cojita Cheese


California Style: 


1 avocado, mashed 

¼ cup sour cream or greek yogurt

The juice of one lime

¼ cup cilantro

½ tsp salt



Directions: 


Peel the husks off of the corn and rinse thoroughly to remove the fibers. Grill corn on an outdoor grill, or stovetop grill until all sides are charred, about 15 minutes. Layer each of the toppings on all sides of the corn and enjoy!
