Beef Chile Macaroni
Beef Chile Macaroni
Ingredients:
½ pound of lean ground beef (I used 90/10 grass fed beef)
1 ½ cups elbow macaroni
1 can tomato sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¾ teaspoon New Mexico chile powder
2 cups water
Directions:
Heat a medium sized saucepan on medium to high heat, add ground beef and cook until lightly browned. Add macaroni and cook until macaroni is slightly browned. This will ensure that it doesn’t get mushy when cooked. Now add tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chile powder. Mix and cook for about a minute until all the flavors come together. Add water, mix and bring up to a boil. Once boiling, cover and turn the heat down so it remains at a low boil. Begin to check the macaroni after 5 minutes, but don’t cook any longer than ten minutes. The macaroni should be cooked through and slightly al dente.
