Mexican Hot Chocolate Latte

 

Ingredients:

1-cup almond milk

¼-teaspoon cinnamon

¼-teaspoon New Mexico red chile powder

1-teaspoon cocoa powder

1-teaspoon vanilla

3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate

1/4 cup oat milk

1-tablespoon maple syrup

2 pitted dates

 

Directions:

Heat milk in a medium saucepan, add all ingredients, except the oat milk, and bring to a low boil.  Turn the heat down slightly and cook for about 10 minutes.  During the last couple of minutes, add the oat milk, and it will thicken slightly.  Remove from heat and blend until smooth.  Add milk mixture to 3 oz of espresso coffee.  Mix, and enjoy!
