Guacamole & Homemade Margaritas
Table Top Guacamole
Ingredients:
2 large, or 4 small avocados (they should be soft to the touch, but not too soft)
2 serrano pepper, deseeded
¼ cup finely diced yellow onion
¼ cup diced tomato, deseeded
1 garlic clove crushed
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
The juice of half of a lime
Directions:
Split avocados down the middle lengthwise and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh of the avocado into a bowl. Using a potato masher, break down avocado to your liking (I tend to like it a little chunky). Add serrano peppers, onion and tomato. Stir all ingredients until combined. Add crushed garlic, salt and lime. Stir once again to incorporate all flavors. Pour guacamole into your favorite colorful dish, and line with tortilla chips. Serve extra chips on the side.
Homemade Margaritas
Ingredients:
1 frozen container of limeade
1 container full of white tequila
1 container full of triple sec
2 ½ containers of water
1-cup limejuice
Kosher salt
Fresh limes, circular slices to garnish glass
Ice cubes
Directions:
Thaw limeade and pour into blender along with 1 limeade container full of tequila, triple sec (you could also use Gran Mariner), and water. Using the limeade container is a perfect measurement. Blend on medium for about 2 minutes, you are really just mixing things up. Pour kosher salt onto a small plate. You want enough so the plate is covered. With a lime wedge, wet the rim of a margarita glass and dip in the kosher salt. Add ice cubes to fill the glass.
