Fideos
Ingredients:
15 oz. package fideos (or angel hair pasta broken into small
pieces)
1-tablespoon canola, or olive oil
1-tablespoon tomato paste
One 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
½-teaspoon salt
¼-teaspoon pepper
2 cups water
Directions:
Heat oil in a medium sauté pan, add fideos and cook for
about 2 minutes, until noodles begin to turn slightly brown. Add tomato paste, and mix until fully
combined. Next add tomato sauce, water
and bring to a boil. Let boil for 1
minute, and then turn the heat to simmer, cook until the noodles have softened
and all the liquid has been absorbed.
Some people like their noodles a little “soupier,” so adjust them to
your liking. Add more water if you want
them with more liquid, or less if you want them with a thicker
consistency.
